在过去的几年里,BGC在国际舞台上建立了稳固的声誉,经常邀请著名的DJ和制作人来贝鲁特,并与他们一起演出,例如:Keb Darge(BBE;英国), Andy Smith(Ex-Portishead;(英国)JJ Weissenfeldt(Poets of Rhythm,Karl Hector和Malcouns;德国), Mr Thing(BBE;英国), DJ Format(又名 Matt Fox,侏罗纪5;英国),Florian Keller(Compost,Party Keller;慕尼黑), Ollie Teeba(Herbaliser;英国), Marc Hype(Dusty Donuts;德国),Janis Jakarta 又名 Habibi Funk(Jakarta Records,德国),DbH(Restless Leg Syndrome,奥地利hip hop创始人;奥地利),DJ Foxy Bee(法国)以及Nickodemus(Wonderwheel Recordings,urntables on the Hudson;纽约)。

Natalie Shooter

Ernesto Chahoud plays all vinyl sets of Ethiopian funk, Middle Eastern garage rock, and rare punk, soul, and belly dance records from the lesser known corners of the world. A highly respected collector, he runs Beirut Groove Collective, Darsko Records, and recently headlined Boiler Room Beirut.
Ernesto Chahoud, Darsko’s owner and a founding member of the BGC, is one of Lebanon’s premier vinyl collectors, with over 10,000 dug up in flea markets, old record shops, attics and dumpsters in Beirut and wider Lebanon since the mid-90s. In addition to his work with the BGC, Chahoud has helped bring artists – including pioneering jazz guitarists Ryo Kawasaki and American Melvin Sparks – to Lebanon.
The Beirut Groove Collective has become an attraction for the best diggers and DJs in the world, where they can spin their obscurest records to an open-minded crowd and exchange music knowledge and rare records with the Beirut Groove Collective’s resident crate diggers. It was named in the New York Times, as one of their “Top 15” parties around the world.
It is the first and only strictly-45 party in Lebanon and the wider region and utilizes alternative, community-oriented spaces as a means of drawing parallels to the underground funk and soul parties that used to occur in the major urban centers of America and Africa in the 1970s.

Natalie Shooter is a British soul DJ based in between Beirut and Dubai and an essential member of the Beirut Groove Collective. The Beirut-based DJ collective of DJs throw a monthly funk and soul all-nighter, hosting the leading international DJs, tastemakers and crate-diggers from the funk and soul scene, loyal to the format of the 45.
Shooter’s soul-filled sets take in everything from northern soul, R&B to Arabic funk and disco and ‘60s garage, the result of more than 15 years spent digging for records around the world. She’s filled dancefloors around Lebanon for almost a decade, bringing her rare funk and soul records to audiences in beach parties, festivals, warehouse take overs and underground clubs. She’s also played at festivals and funk and soul parties from Amman to Vienna and London.
As a journalist, Shooter is one of a handful of writers who’ve dedicated their time to promoting and shedding light on the regional music scene. She also spent two years programming and managing Radio Beirut, one of the Lebanese capital’s most active venues in the independent music scene and an online radio station.
She programmed and produced The Shoreline Sessions, a handful of festivals that brought acts such as Omar Souleyman, Acid Arab, Maurice Louca and Restless Leg Syndrome to a variety of venues across Lebanon.
